Internationally acclaimed singer and performer Maya Wegerif, famously known as Sho Madjozi, has expanded her influence beyond the realm of music. The dynamic artist has once again captivated fans worldwide with her latest venture, a hair accessory called SparkleBraids.

The popular rapper, born to parents Rosemary Phaweni and Marc Wegerif, originally hails from Shirley village near Elim. She is especially known for hits such as “Huku”, “Wakanda Forever”, and “John Cena”.

For Sho Madjozi, SparkleBraids is more than just a typical business venture; it serves as a means to establish a deeper connection with her audience by making them feel special and providing a platform for them to embrace their uniqueness.

Her rich musical background naturally guides the creative process behind this hair-accessory initiative. When asked about the inspiration, she shared a profound connection with her younger fans, whom she affectionately calls her stars. “I wanted to offer them a style and product that felt kind of magical. In everything I have ever done, I have tried to push for something more imaginative. Sparkle braids are unique because they glitter and shine. I am a star, and I wanted the kids to feel like they are stars too, because they are,” she said.
