Ndivhaleni Rambau, one of the most promising upcoming artists from the Vhembe area, popularly known as Ndicks Muimbi, released a new five-track extended-play (EP) album titled “Zwia itea” on Friday, 8 December.

The 21-year-old Afro-soul singer from Hamuila Gumani, in the Tshitale area, said that the idea behind the release was to give her fans something to enjoy during the festive season. “I want my fans to enjoy my latest offering while they are busy resting over the holidays. This EP is a mixture of Afro-soul and Afro-pop. Many of the songs on the EP are about love. I feel that we need more love. We must love each other from the core of our hearts if we want to create a world of peace and harmony,” she said.

Ndicks’ passion for music and singing began during her time at David Luvhimba Secondary School. She gained prominence two years ago with her hit single “Vhutungu ha Lufuno,” featuring Raptiger, Romeo Fifty-nine, and Tey Lever. The song became very popular and received airplay on nearly all local radio stations. Ndicks seized the moment and released other popular songs, including “Ndi khou livhuwa Lufuno.”

“I am motivated by Raptiger, who always encourages me to work hard, no matter what comes my way. I have to be strong, and facing my challenges is the only way to success. I also look up to Makhadzi. Her work is unstoppable, compared to where she comes from. That’s where I learned that, in this life, if you trust the process, you will get far,” she said.

Ndicks Muimbi's music is available for streaming on all digital music platforms.
