Launch of controversial porn movie postponed indefinitely

Bush Pie 3, the much-publicised Tshivenda porn movie which was scheduled to be launched on Youth Day, has been postponed indefinitely.

The movie by Zwoluga Madega received condemnation from many quarters of the community, which included traditional leaders, traditional healers, religious leaders and other civic organzations. Even the Thulamela municipality, who had given permission for the Thohoyandou Indoor Sports Complex to be used as a venue, did an about-turn and withdrew the permission at the last minute.

Madega of Hazam's TV Movies, who was said to have gone into hiding after being threatened by unknown people, said that he was not hiding. He said he was in consultation with his legal representatives concerning the outcry from the community.

On Youth Day (Monday), the venue was deserted. Only a few people were found at the venue and they said they were attending another event.

Contacted for comment regarding the no show of the launch, Madega said the much-talked-about launch had been postponed indefinitely. "The change of the venue at the last minute has affected us greatly. Our fans were disorganized and did not know where to go. We could not go back to the media, who were attacking us from left to right, and we were left with no other viable option but to postpone the event indefinitely," he said.

He said his phone had been inundated with calls from hundreds of fans who wanted the show to go on and he could not find a suitable and big venue that could accommodate them all. "So far, we have nothing concrete about the launch as we are still weighing our options. We will keep you updated, but know that it will not be soon," said a confident Madega.
