Nesengani tribal member laid to rest

Emotions ran high as mourners bade farewell to a community builder and member of the Nesengani Tribal Authority, Mr Petrus Musia (90), who was laid to rest at Tshino Hanesengani on 9 March. He passed away at his home on 4 March after a long illness.

Traditional leaders, councillors, businesspeople, and community members gathered at the funeral to celebrate his life, remembering him for his humour, respect, friendliness, humility, and commitment to community development.

His grandson, Mr Willson Mathoma, fondly remembered him as a man who embraced life fully. "He meant the world to us. He ensured his children received an education, seeing it as vital for community progress."

Vhamusanda Vho Emanuel Matidza praised Musia as a pioneer, natural leader, and visionary. “He was a great man who sacrificed his life to serve his people with distinction. As a member of the tribal council, he played a major role concerning community development initiatives. We will always remember him for the contributions he made to our community development. This tribal council was his second home,” he said.
