Another defeat for struggling Magezi

Things are going from bad to worse in the camp of the NFD rookies, Magezi FC. They suffered their second consecutive league match 0-2 defeat at the hands of Witbank Spurs at the Puma Rugby Stadium in Emalahleni.

Although they were the first to find the net, Real Kings could not maintain their 1-0 half-time lead, courtesy of Mmisene Ndlovu, as they suffered a 1-2 defeat at the hands of FC Cape Town. The African Beasts hit back with second-half goals by Julius Likhontshane and Vuyisile Ntombithethe.

Mbombela United let Thanda Royal Zulu off the hook when they shared the spoils with them at the Kanyamazane Stadium in Nelspruit. Mbombela took the lead in the 35th minute via Clifford Mulenga. As if victory was already certain, Mbombela relaxed towards the end of the game and allowed the visitors to find the equalizer through Mhlengi Cele in the 84th minute.

Amazulu gave the University of Pretoria a 3-0 drubbing at the Tuks Stadium in Pretoria. Mabuti Kanyeza scored the Zulus’ first goal, while Siyabonga Nomvete found the net twice in the dying minutes of the game.

It was a feast of goals when Cape Town All Stars and Santos played to a 3-3 draw in their Cape Town derby at the Parow Park Stadium. Royal Eagles suffered a 1-2 defeat at the hands of Stellenbosch FC at the Coetzenberg Stadium in Stellenbosch.
