The international deejays include Kuniyuki Takahashi from Japan and Jack Swartz from the Netherlands. According to the show organizers, the international artists will collaborate with local stars to perform "a full stage production rather than just an ordinary performance".

One of South Africa’s longest-spinning and very influential house music DJs, Christos Katsaitis, popularly known as DJ Christos, is among the performers of the night, while DJ Udo, who recently produced the hit single, Nyoso (Nonsense), will also perform during the event.

The Makhado annual show was officially opened with a mayoral parade from the civic centre to the show grounds today (Thursday). The exhibitors, including the Premier’s Office, Vhembe District Municipality, academic institutions, private companies, local business enterprises and many more, will be exhibiting their products.

“Small enterprises are exhibiting their businesses and government departments are disseminating information to the public,” said the organisers. Activities lsuch as a merry-go-round, swings, car drifting (magusheshe), 4x4 challenges, candy shops and bikers have been entertaining people since yesterday.

From Thursday until Friday the entrance is R50 for everyone and on Saturday adults will have to pay R100 to gain entrance or R350 for a VIP experience. Children will, however, still pay R50.
