The Soutpansberg Astronomy Club’s next stargazing evening will be held on Saturday, 21 March, from 19:00 onwards. 

Stargazers will have another opportunity to view a shadow transit across Jupiter, this time by the moon Io.  With Orion slipping towards the western horizon, the Milky Way becomes more prominent, as do the constellations Virgo and Leo.  “The region has fantastic targets to see, from open clusters to globular clusters and galaxies,” says the club’s Kos Coronaios.
