Tshilidzi Respect Mulaudzi, a 21-year-old resident from Muledane, is one of the few comic artists in the area.

Mulaudzi, who is also known as Las Vendas Comics, started doing comics last August and was inspired by the comics of Noko Mashaba, created by Jonas Lekganyane. “When I was young I used to watch cartoons on television a lot. At that time, I didn't have the right tools to design my own cartoons and I ended up drawing them in my school books,” he said.

He also believes that one should never give up on his or her talent. “Don't let anyone make you change what you love,” he added.

Besides being a comic artist, Mulaudzi is also a marketing management student at Northern FET College in Muledane and a part-time photographer.

He described financial problems as his main challenge, because he cannot afford to buy equipment. To watch some of his videos online, simply search for Las Vendas comics on YouTube.
