Tshivhi tshi tswaho nḓodzo: A book from a different angle

Read: 3034

After the success of his previous books, Khathutshelo Mavhaga has released a new book, entitled Tshivhi tshi tswaho nḓodzo.

Unlike the previous book he released in English, his latest one is written in Tshivenḓa in order to reach a wider readership.

“This book will open your eyes, so that you may learn not to play with sexual sins,” he said. “It motivates Christians to stay away from sexual immorality. People think you can commit a sexual sin and get away with it without any consequences. Pastors today are not afraid to have sexual relations with congregants, and still think the anointing will remain in them.”

Mavhaga said that he was generally trying to show people the danger of engaging in extramarital sexual relationships because it had consequesnces of its own. “As a preacher of the gospel I have seen many Christians and non-Christians ruining their lives because of this sin,” he said. “Most pastors lost the precious God-given gift of anointing which they once had, because they gave in to temptation.”

He indicated that after committing this kind of sin, one started to have uncontrollable lust and unusual dreams. “This act can cause women involved in it to be barren, but at night they are nursing children in their dreams,” he said. “This means those spirit children are jealous of sharing you as a mother with physical children, and since they are spirit, they shut your womb.”

His love for writing started some years ago when he was still in high school. He used to assist his brother, who is a well-known author, to type his books. The love of writing them developed, and since then he has never looked back.

Mavhaga's book is available directly from him and better bookshops. He can be reached on 082 757 8010.
