Look out, here comes Hilda

A local actress, singer and story writer left her fans very proud, as she is appearing in several Mzansi soapies and movies.

Coming from the dusty streets of Ha-Mandiwana in Nzhelele, Hilda Mudau (35), made her first television appearance last January on Isidingo, the need. She then featured on Broken vows as a guest actor.

This year she appeared in Rhythm City, Muvhango and Step-Mother, which she wrote and starred in.

Mudau said acting in the big soapies was like a dream come true. "When I was a small child, I always wanted to be an actress. My love for acting motivated me to follow a drama course at the Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria."

Mudau hopes thatshe will have her own character in one of the big soapies one day . She added that her mother, Emily, had always been there for her and she regarded her as her guardian angel. She added that her father, who recently passed way, was very supportive throughout her life.

Besides being an actress, Mudau is also a singer and has already recorded two albums, Mufunwa wanga and Tshilamba uvhudzwa. Both albums were nominated in the category for best traditional Tshivenda artist for the Tshivenda Music Awards.
