The first Vhembe reconciliation gospel music concert will be held at Worship House (Shayandima) on Saturday, 15 December. It will start at 15:00.

According to the event organiser, Mr Kale Makharamedzha, the festival provides a sound development platform for the growing demand for worshiping festival entertainment “that continues to be ignored by mainstream promoters in South Africa.”

This event will be organised by Mop Events Management.

Some of the artists that will perform during the event include Rofhiwa Manyaga, Takie Ndou, Thabelo Thavhanyedza Tsiko, Ailwei Netshivhale, Phuluso Thenga, Naphy M, the Worship House team, Tiyani Maluleke, Palesa Ravele, Jay Mbiza, Rudoplh Mabasa, Gundo Gee, Lebo Sekgobela and the Nkabinde Brothers.

According Makharamedzha, they want to host the event during the festive season to coincide with the festivities. “We have taken the show to Vhembe, so that the people in the area could access gospel entertainment and praise and worship with their beloved artists,” he said.

“We also believe that it is high time that rural South Africa takes advantage of the sleeping giant that is the cultural economy to solve socio-economic problems affecting our country,” he said.
