Masindi publishes first book: A Letter to My Mentee

Read: 2462

A Letter to My Mentee, a guidebook to make the transition between high school and tertiary education less daunting, was recently written and compiled by Rotondwa Masindi from the rural village of Mushiru-Tshaulu, just outside Thohoyandou.

Masindi (22) holds a B Com Accounting degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and is also the chairperson and mentor of young people of the Mushiru Youth Church Unity, a non-profit organization that aims to bring unity within the youth from various churches in his community through social, academic, and spiritual activities.

According to Masindi, the book is very personal, in an easy-going conversational style, where he openly shares his first-hand experience in the hope of transforming his mentees’ lives and helping them to become better versions of themselves. He said if one or more of the youths wanted to throw in the towel in life, A letter to My Mentee was a book and place to start regaining that lost hope and to uplift their spirit.

“This book bears all answers to questions that mentees might be in fear of voicing to their mentors. If you are in pursuit of answers about anything, from how to be good student and a person of good character, to how to master the secret of survival or how to deal with the daunting transition from high school to tertiary level, this is the right book for you,” added Masindi.

Those wishing to purchase the book, Rotondwa Masindi can be reached at 076 563 9754.
