First mainstream single for Daloo Deey

The young music sensation, Daloo Deey, has come out guns blazing with her first mainstream single, called Live for the moment.

The 19-year-old vocalist and guitarist features this generation’s greatest rapper, Emtee. She has a sensational and soulful voice that just cannot be matched. “This is one song that will surely get the people into a vibey, yet inspired mood,” she says. “Daloo Deey and Emtee are here to encourage listeners to do the most with the time they have on earth.”

Daloo Deey was discovered by Mulata Branded Lifestyle, an independent South African record label. Under this mentorship, Daloo Deey has been able to share the stage with the likes of Msaki, Zahara and Berita.

“Emtee comes with his bouncy yet inspirational rhymes, using his signature and untouchable flow from his smooth and addictive vocals that we have been blessed with for the past five years,” said the recording stable’s Mulata Badugela. “We have been blessed with his talents for quite some time, and he is always available to share his talent with the masses.”

Born Phathutshedzo Lebusha, Daloo Deey resides at Lwamondo (Khumbe) but is currently based in Johannesburg. She discovered that she could really sing when she was only 10 years old, performing in a church choir. “The turning point was when I bought myself a guitar early in 2019 and started learning how to play through YouTube lessons,” she says. “I started composing my own songs later on.”

For her, music embodies feelings and emotions and connects people. It can heal and provide strength, she says. “Music to me is a business, and at the same time it’s a hobby. Most people say that music is life, but to me music is movement,” she explains. “I believe that, with songs I am able to spread messages of love and positivity to help deal with some of our country's most crippling problems, like crime and gender-based violence, among other issues. Above all, I create the kind of music that heals the hearts.”

She is available on most social media platforms. “I would like to wish Limpopo Mirror’s readers a happy festive season. May 2021 be a year filled with a lot of blessings for you all.”
