Mike Tuney nominated three times for City Awards

Local rapper Mukhethwa Mukhadi, better known as Mike Tuney, received three nominations at the 015 City Awards on 28 January this year.

Hard work finally paid off for this musician when he was nominated for Artist of the Year. His song Secure the bag (featuring AB Crazy) was nominated twice for Song of the Year and he was also nominated for Best Producer with his hit single, Mama I'm sorry.

The young rapper from Tshavhalovhedzi in Nzhelele is very excited about these nominations. “I am happy that I got nominated. Now the goal is to bring the trophies home,” he said.

On top of the nominations, his song Secure the bag was also premiered on MTV Base. The video even made it to the SA Hits Countdown and peaked at number 4.
