Award-winning reggae artist Tendani Maiwashe, better known as Jah Soldier, will headline the Germiston 1nity Reggae Fest on September 28 at Germiston River Road Park. The festival, themed "1NITY," aims to bring people from different backgrounds together through live music, promoting joy, healing, and tolerance in communities.
Jah Soldier encouraged his fans to attend in large numbers, promising to perform some of his most popular songs. “Come in your numbers for an unforgettable experience. We’re rehearsing with the band, and everyone is excited for the show in Germiston,” he said.
Hailing from Mbilwi-Makanga village near Sibasa, Jah Soldier has released four albums: Thavha ndi nngana (2006), Innocent Siblings (2010), Nndededze (2014), and Ndi A Livhuwa (2017). His album Nndededze won a TSHIMA award for Best Tshivenda Reggae Artist in 2015 and was also nominated for a SATMA that year.
Other local artists performing at the festival include Sivhara Mulaudzi, Lufuno Munzhelele, Pepsin, and Chillyman.
