“We can’t stay in offices and expect to be given verbal reports. It is advisable to visit projects timeously, and we cannot wait only to come here during the cutting of the ribbon,” said the mayor of Lim 345, Cllr Joyce Bila.

She was speaking on Friday during the site visit of the three-kilometre ring road at Shithlelani village near Malamulele. It will cost about R29 million and is expected to be completed in the second week of December

“We also want to thank the contractors for the progress made so far, because the project is set to change life for the better for the communities,” said Cllr Bila.

Hosi Gezani Manganyi of Shithlelani Village praised the municipality for listening to the community, because they had been demanding the tarring of the road for a long time. He said that he was glad that the contractor would complete the road project in a record time and that they would be the first community to benefit from the local municipality since it had been formed.
