Police search for missing Joseph Ratombo

 

The SAPS in Thohoyandou has launched a massive search operation, following the disappearance of a 66-year-old man, Mr Joseph Tshinanne Ratombo.

A resident of Tshisaulu village, Ratombo was last seen on 23 November this year. According to the information made available by the police, the elderly man had left home to visit relatives at Khalavha village but failed to reach his destination. A search operation by the police was conducted at his friends', relatives' and surrounding areas but without fruitful results.

"Ratombo is reportedly suffering from a mental illness, and he was last seen wearing a yellow T-shirt, a grey pair of trousers and sleepers," said the provincial police's spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe.

The police are therefore appealing to anyone with information that can help find the victim to contact Sgt Kwinda on 083 355 2787 or 015 960 1000. Alternatively, they can contact the police's emergency number 0860 010 111, the crime SMS line 32211 or the nearest police station.
