Missing teenager from Manenzhe recovered in Gauteng

Nelson Advance Muleya (17), who have been reported missing on Monday, has been found in Gauteng.

The teenage boy went missing on Monday morning, after he had visited his local clinic in the Manenzhe Village. After visiting the clinic Muleya made use of public transport to get to the Donald Frazer Hospital for a check-up, but did not return home. His girlfriend reported to police that he had phoned her during the day to say that he had been kidnapped, but did not know his exact location.

“After a 24-hour search by various police units he was found today in Gauteng,” said police on Thursday.

According to provincial police spokesperson Lt-Col Moatshe Ngoepe Muleya was injured. “He cannot talk due to the injuries he possibly sustained during the kidnapping, and he is presently admitted in one of the hospitals for treatment,” said Ngoepe.

Ngoepe further called upon the local community to remain calm and afford the local police in the area to finish their investigations into the matter.

Anyone with information that might assist the police in their investigation is requested to contact the Lt-Col William Ramokhubedu at Tel 082 499 8389 or their nearest police station.
