The body of a 20-year-old woman who drowned in Nandoni Dam outside Thohoyandou, was on Sunday, 4 November, recovered after it resurfaced.
The deceased, identified as Ms Rolivhuwa Mbedzi, allegedly fell into the water on Wednesday, 31 October. She and friends were on a outing on the dam on a speed boat.
Members of the police’s search and rescue team, assisted by community members, have been searching the area since, using the boat together with the police's K9 unit.
The police have since opened an inquest docket regarding Mbedzi’s death.
