Man kills spouse, shoots himself

The Mphephu police are investigating a case of murder and have also opened an inquest docket, following a gruesome incident that occurred in Tshirolwe village on Saturday afternoon.

During the incident, a man had allegedly shot and killed his spouse before turning the gun on himself.

According to provincial police spokesperson Col Moatshe Ngoepe, the deceased, Rendanii Lishivha (30) from Tshirolwe village, was allegedly shot and killed by her partner, Muelelwa Maanea from Tshikuwi village, after a domestic dispute.

He said the cause of the dispute was not yet known at that stage, but the ongoing police investigations would tell.
