Municipality head of youth is no more

The head of the youth of the Makhado Municipality, Mr Terrence Kuaho (38), died in the Polokwane Netcare Hospital last Friday after a long illness.

He also served two terms as the president of the Univen SRC.

According to members of the Vleifontein and Vhembe communities, Kuaho was a mentor, a role model and a true leader. He was a visionary, a manager, an organizer and a trustworthy human being whose desire to serve his community motivated him to work hard. As an individual who had the love of his community at heart, Kuaho brought countless developmental initiatives around the Makhado Municipality, they said.

The mayor of Makhado Municipality, Cllr Samuel Munyai, described the death of Kuaho as a terrible blow to the community of Makhado. “His death has taken a real comrade, confidante and inspirational leader from both young and old people in our community. We are seriously saddened by his death because he still had so much to offer to this community,” he said.

The family spokesperson, Mr Elvis Ramalwa, said that they were consoled by the massive support from family, friends and community members. He left his wife and one child.

Kuaho will be buried on Saturday at Vleifontein. The service will start at 06:00.
