Joe and Dolphins in Motsepe clash

With only nine matches remaining before the league activities for the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League come to an end, teams will continue to fight for league points this weekend. Eight matches will be staged at various places throughout the province from today (Friday) until Sunday.

Joe Maweja are geared to give The Dolphins a headache when they meet at the Tshifulanani Stadium tomorrow. Maweja are fast becoming a force to be reckoned with after assembling a youthful squad last month. Maweja rose to the occasion and unexpectedly held Madridtas FC to a 1-1 draw at the Tshifudi Stadium last Saturday.

Bellevue Winners Park will travel to Modimolle for their match against A1 Terrors at the Ephraim Mogale Stadium. Winners Park will be fighting with the aim of maintaining their leadership on the log, but it is a matter of life or death for Terrors, as they are currently languishing in the second-last position on the log.

Molemole Academy will host Polokwane United at the Nirvana Stadium. Mokopane Ratanang will host Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila at the Mahwelereng Stadium. The spirit is high in the camp of the Tshakhuma team after they had walloped Mighty FC 4-0 at the Tshifulanani Stadium last Saturday.

Madridtas and Great North FC will clash at the Seshego Stadium, while the Polokwane Academy will entertain Boyne Young Tigers at the Polokwane Rugby Fields. Gawula Classic and Lephalale Young Killers will battle it out for league points at the Giyani Stadium.

Some of the players who are on form at the moment who are likely to perform well at the weekend are Walter Netshimbulu and Omphulusa Masotsha (Maweja), Dakalo Nemakonde, Rendani Mukomafhedzi and Khathutshelo “Adiyabo” Mudau (Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila) and Lutendo Mulaudzi and Solomon Noko (Madridtas).
