Mikhado destroy Phandulaluvalo

Phandulaluvalo FC were booted out of the Safa Vhembe Total Challenge KO by Mikhado FC, who brutally crushed them 4-1 at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday.

Aluwani Nedzamba, striker of Mikhado, was a marvel to watch. He scored a hat trick in the game. Nedzamba made his presence felt in the ninth minute. He received a neat pass from Lucky Masutha and blasted in a rocket from the edge of the box to bring the half-time score to 1-0.

Phandula effected two changes to their original team early in the last half. They introduced Takalani Makhuvha and Mulanga Nemudzivhadi for Ampfarisaho Kutama and Murangi Likhala respectively. That did not stop Mikhado from increasing the margin in the 57th minute. Aluwani Nedzamba was on target again, following a square pass from Isani Neluheni.

Mikhado then sacrificed Zwivhuya Mmbadaliga, who gave way to Phathutshdzo Thifhulufheli. Mikhado increased the margin through Lucky Masutha in the 64th minute. He tried his luck with a ground cutter from the 25-meter area. The keeper of Phandula, Maanda Magaba, watched helplessly as the ball hit the back of the net.

Phandula’s solitary goal came in the 74th minute. Engedzedzani Mbedzi was brought down with the box and it was a clear penalty for Phandula. Zwonaka Netshitungulu made no mistake from the white spot.

Phandula’s goal was an insult to Mikhado. They came back strongly and scored the fourth in the dying minutes of the game when Aluwani Nedzamba completed his hat trick with a close-range half volley.
