Berea and Aces in Zimunga final

The much-awaited final of the Zimunga Soccer Tournament will be staged at the Zwigodini grounds in the Niani area tomorrow (Saturday).

The teams that will meet in the final are Berea FC and Makuya Junior Aces.

It remains to be seen whether the defence of Berea will be able to stop the Aces’ forwards, Rinae Mokgonyana, Uarilwela Mungadi and Jerry Mpofu. Mokgonyana was a marvel to watch when Junior Aces brutally walloped Madimbo Pull Together 6-1 in their semifinal match at the same venue a fortnight ago. He scored a hat trick.

On the other hand, Berea will pin their hopes on Elias Ranyaoa, Edwin Ramphabana and the team’s captain, Dakalo Ratshitanga, for goals while Juliet Ngubane, Aubrey Ndou and Dzivhuluwani Simba will do their best to keep their danger area clean.

Madimbo Pull Together and Bale Roller Mills will meet in the losers’ final match, which is scheduled to kick off at 12:00. The final will start at 14:30.

The champions of the tournament will receive R30 000, a floating trophy, soccer kit and gold medals. The runners-up will receive R15 000, soccer kit and silver medals. The team that will finish in the third place will go home with R10 000, bronze medals and soccer kit. A soccer kit and a cash prize of R5000 are awaiting the team that will obtain the fourth position.

Teams that will finish in the fifth to the 32^nd position will receive cash prizes ranging from R1 800 down to R400.
