“We are still on track” – Chokoe

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC (TTM) will be campaigning in the Absa Premiership come next soccer season. That is if the words of the team’s head coach, Mr Malose Chokoe, are anything to go by.

In an interview with the Limpopo Mirror shortly after his side’s 1-0 victory over Stellenbosch FC at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday, Chokoe confidently indicated that nothing will stop TTM from finishing on top of the log at the end of the season.

He stated that they had finally found a winning combination, after battling to acclimatize to the NFD heat in their first five league matches. He stated that TTM would go places with the current squad. According to him, their recent signings have brought stability to the team and the team is now well balanced.

TTM recently signed several new players, including Alton Kapinga, Carlington Nyadombo and David Mathebula. Chokoe further said that what the team’s president, Mr Masala Mulaudzi, had said at the beginning of the season would become a reality when the current season came to an end. When addressing the packed hall at the 2Ten Hotel two months ago, Mr Mulaudzi said that his aim was to see the team playing in the Absa Premiership Division next season.

TTM moved four steps up on the log, following Saturday’s victory over Stellenbosch. They are now lying in the eighth spot with 11 points accumulated from eight outings. Chokoe further mentioned that their aim was to finish their first-round league activities within the top-four bracket, so that it would be easy for them move to the top of the log in the remaining 15 matches.

TTM will travel to Durban tomorrow, where they will play against Uthongathi FC at the Princess Magogo Stadium.
