Mr Parks Phathela, PRO of the Sinthumule/Kutama Community Sports Development organisation.

Teams invited to register for annual tournament.

 

The organisers of the Sinthumule/Kutama Community Sports Development invite netball teams, U/15 and senior soccer teams to register for the annual tournament that will start shortly before Christmas.

According to the PRO of the organisation, Mr Parks Phathela, they have invited teams from the whole of Vhembe to register. The registration fee for the senior teams is R1 000 and for junior teams and netball it is R200.

He said that it was important that future stars' talent be identified at grassroots level. He applauded the sponsors for helping to identify the talent of the region's youth and added that the youth of this region should be proud of their talent.

Phathela stated that the teams will be fighting for a first prize of R15 000 cash, new soccer kit, a floating trophy and gold medals. The runners-up will get R10 000, a soccer kit and silver medals. The two teams that lose in the semifinal will receive R5 000 and R4 000 and a soccer kit each.

The tournament will start on 24 December and the finals will be played on New Year’s Day at the Ravele grounds.
