In their Adicon U/17 match, Madombidzha Try Again and Benny’s Care shared the spoils with two goals apiece. The match took place at the Benny’s Care Tshiozwi grounds on Saturday.
The first half was war from the onset and Benny’s started the match at a very fast pace, giving their opponents no moments to breathe. Benny’s opened their score in the 15th minute. Zwoluga Madzhie scored with a ground-cutter after receiving a square pass from Gundo Maluma.
Naledzani Mukondeleli of Try Again was lucky to receive only a yellow card after handling the ball intentionally in the 24th minute. Try Again came back strongly and equalized though Maemu Musiamo.
In the second half Benny’s played more defensive. They abandoned their positions and packed themselves at the far back. Try Again did not panic, despite the fact that it was difficult for them to find their way through the defence of Benny’s.
The second goal of Try Again came in the 78th minute. They initiated some promising moves in the middle of the park, which resulted in an intense scramble within the Benny’s danger zone. Ntendeni Ratshikhopha scored from the edge of the box.
Try Again’s celebration was cut short when Benny’s scored with a penalty late in the match. Tshitangoni Mulaudzi attacked his opponent, Ampfaho Tshinetise rough and received a red card.
