Cambio destroys Cobra Stars

 

Thinawanga “Cambio” Ratshilivha was a marvel to watch when his team, Shayandima Disco Five, beat Cobra Stars 2-1 in their MMK Administrators League match at the Tshisaulu grounds on Saturday.

Ratshilivha scored a brace to ensure that Disco Five went back home with the maximum points in hand. Cobra Stars took the lead in the sixth minute.

They were awarded a free kick in the 25-meter area after Ntsieni Muvhango was brought down. Phathutshedzo Budeli beat the keeper with a half volley from the free kick.

Cobra Stars were reduced to 10 men when Ntsieni Muvhango was given his marching orders for using abusive words towards the referee. The home side did not stop fighting, despite the setback. They continued to create dangerous moves from behind, while Disco Five spent the better part of the first half chasing the action. Disco Five showed a bit of life towards the end of the first half. They pulled one back in the 39th minute. Thinawanga Ratshilivha was on target with a ground cutter, following a scramble within the box.

Ritshidze Mushoma of Disco Five was booked for protesting the referee’s decision shortly before half time. Cobra Stars the introduced Khodani Nenzhelele and Zwivhuya Ramabula for Fhulufhelo Tshikomba and Khangwelo Mulaudzi. Pfarelo Lifhiga of Disco Five was reprimanded with a card for obstructing the Stars’ keeper in the 65th minute.

Cobra Stars missed three clear-cut scoring chances in quick succession. Disco Five took the lead in the 78th minute, when Thinawanga Ratshiivha beat the offside and blasted in a rocket from close range, to bring the final score to 2-1.
