Mikhado and Magezi in Motsepe clash

With only three matches remaining before the end of the season, the teams affiliated to the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League are preparing for their weekend matches.

All matches will be played on Saturday afternoon at the designated venues.

Three of the four teams based in Vhembe District, Musina United, Mikhado FC and Madridtas FC, will play their matches at home, while Joe Maweja, or Ablex United FC as they are now known, will be the travelers.

Madridtas will enjoy the home-ground advantage when they host Mighty FC at the Tshifudi Stadium. It remains to be seen whether Madridtas will rise to the occasion and make Mighty pay for the 0-8 defeat they suffered at the hands of Ablex United at the Louis Trichardt show grounds last Saturday.

Madridtas will pin their hopes on Maanda Munyai, Langanani Matodzi and Maduvha Mudologi.

Mikhado FC will host Magezi FC at the Rabali Stadium. Magezi must contain the Mikhado playmakers, Ndamulelo Mungadi, Mukovhe Maliaga and Nicolus Sitsei, or else they will not know what hit them.

Musina United will meet Ndengeza FC at the Musina Rugby Stadium. Musina must win the match to enhance their chances of escaping the relegation axe. United, or Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila as they were formerly known, are lying in the second-last position on the log. On the other hand, Ndengeza have only pride at stake as they are on the safe side when it comes to relegation.

Ablex United will undertake a journey to Polokwane where they will play against Polokwane Academy at the Polokwane Rugby Fields. The spirit is high in the Ablex camp after beating Madridtas 8-0 last Saturday. Giyani Hotspurs will host Boyne Young Tigers at the Giyani Stadium, while the Polokwane derby between Great North FC and Molemole Academy will be played at the Seshego Stadium.
