Ablex silence Mikhado

Ablex United silenced Mikhado FC in their Safa Limpopo ABC Motsepe league clash, when they beat them 3-1 at the Makhado showgrounds on Saturday.

Mikhado was only good at the far back and their midfielders hesitated for too long and did not release the ball in time to the goal poachers.

Ablex initiated some promising moves from the centre of the pitch but were denied several scoring opportunities by the opposing defenders. Owen Thuto scored his team’s first goal in the 16th minute. The goal was a wakeup call to the players of Mikhado, who started to play their normal style of football soon afterwards.

After the goal, Mikhado came back strongly, but the keeper of Ablex, Ndivhuwo Tshidada denied them a goal when he fisted Zwivhuya Mbadaliga’s volley away. RaHumbulani Managa of Ablex forced his way through the defence of Mikhado and realesed a rocket from outside the box to score his team’s second goal.

The boys from Nzhelele (Mikhado) introduced Vutomi Maluleke at the expense of Zwivhuya Mbadaliga in the 67th minute.

Mpho Mavhandu scored Ablex’s third goal after he finished in a square ball from Liyod Davhana. Rendani “Sailor” Thavhana of Mikhado reduced the margin late in the match after receiving a good pass from Tshimanagdzo Mavhungu.

Rendani Thavhana of Mikhado controls the ball, with Owen Thuto behind him.
