Lions the champions of MMK Stream G

Tshivhilidulu Hungry Lions scored three goals and collected the all-important match points in their final game of the MMK Administrators League against Matanda Rockers at Matanda on Sunday.

Lions needed three points to become the winners of Stream G.

The first goal came from Lion's sharp shooter, Satuma Ndivhuwo, in the eighth minute of the game. After the goal, Rockers stayed on the attack, but could not hit the back of the net. In the 25th minute, Murendeni Tshilumela of Rockers tried his luck but hit the cross bar.

In the second half, Lions showed that they really needed the victory, when they started attacking with everything they had.

At that stage, Matanda were defending for dear life and the situation got even worse when one of their defenders, Vhutshilo Mbedzi, was sent home early. He received a red card after he had committed a foul. Lions used the situation to their advantage and in the 57th minute their sub, Unarine Mukhwakhwe, scored the second goal, putting Lions close to victory.

Trailing by two goals with a player short seemed to crush Rockers' spirit and gave Lions a chance to attack even harder. Shortly before the referee’s final whistle, Lions sealed the deal with a strike from Livhwani Thidziambi, making it 3-0.
