Leopards and Supersport in league clash

Black Leopards will travel to Pretoria on Sunday afternoon where they will battle it out for Absa Premiership League points against SuperSport United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Both Leopards and United are in shock after donating points to their opponents last weekend. Lidoda Duvha suffered a 0-1 defeat at the hands of Bloemfontein Celtic at the Thohoyandou Stadium, while Matsatsantsa lost 1-3 to Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Stadium.

Leopards’ centre back, Jean Munganga, is likely to watch the game from the grandstand. The Congolese star was taken off the pitch on a stretcher in their game against Celtic after sustaining a head injury. Should Munganga not be available for selection on Sunday, Thivhavhudzi Ndou will be the best placeholder.

Ndou, who came on as a substitute after Munganga’s injury in their game against Celtic, formed a good combination with Marks Munyai, Pentjie Zulu and Nyiko Sibanda in the backline.

The SuperSport defence will have a tough time against the Leopards’ strikers, Mwape Musonda, Tumelo Khutlang and Karabo Tshepe.

Maritzburg United will battle it out for points with Bloemfontein Celtic at the Dr Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein. Free State Stars will host Highlands Park at the Goble Park Stadium in Bethlehem. Highlands Park are still to lose a league match so far. They registered their first victory last weekend when they beat Lamontville Golden Arrows 2-1 at the Makhulong Stadium in Thembisa.

Kaizer Chiefs will enjoy the home-ground advantage in their match against Amazulu at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, and Baroka FC will also play in front of their home crowd when they host Orlando Pirates at the Peter Mokaba Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

Lamontville Golden Arrows and Chippa United will meet at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban, and Bidvest Wits will play against Polokwane City at the Bidvest Stadium in Johannesburg.
