Happy Boys and Black Mambas in MTG clash

The last 22 matches of the MTG KO Competition will be played at various venues on Sunday.

In the three matches that will be staged at the Thohoyandou P-East grounds, Mapate Black Mambas will test their strength against Muungamunwe Happy Boys in the opening match at 11:00. Black Mambas beat Dzwerani United Brothers 3-1 at the Tshisaulu Lwandani grounds last Sunday.

Happy Boys beat Manamani City 3-2 at the same venue to secure a place in the last-22 stage.

Mambas will pin their hopes on Khathutshelo Nduhuni and Shonisani Raphalalani for goals, while the Happy Boys’ strikers, Riaurenda Mudau and Wanga Mashige, are expected to keep the opposition defence running for cover throughout the game.

Vondo Vibes and Ngwenani Manchester United will follow afterwards, while Tshikovha Arsenal and Arsenal FC will wrap up the day’s programme at the venue later in the afternoon.

Maraxwe Happy Boys will take on Mutale Vikings at the Khubvi Benjies grounds at 11:00. The second match will be between Makonde Youth and Khubvi Peace Makers.

Two matches will be played at the Tshitavha Dipeni grounds. Mangaya FC and Lurangwe the Angel will lock horns at 11:00. Lamvi FC and Luvhimbi Western FC will meet in the match that is scheduled to start at 15:00.

In the only match that will be staged at the Tshikombani Stadium, Shanzha Continentals will have a date with Fundudzi FC.

Three matches will be staged at the Tshilonwe Bombers grounds. The fixtures are Mukula Young Brothers vs Domboni FC, Zwaloni United vs Malavuwe Great Movers and Buluni Happy Boys vs Tshaulu Hungry Lions.

The final of the competition is scheduled to be played on Monday, 16 June, at a venue still to be announced.
