Teams invited to register for Youth Month tournaments

Mamu Community Development, in association with the Collins Sebola Group, are inviting soccer teams to register for the Youth Month tournaments.

The teams in the Vhembe SAB league are requested to register in the CS Security Top 8 Soccer Tournament. Those in the Makhado Local Football Association (MALFA) will register to play in the Collins Sebola Inc Top 8 Soccer Tournament. The two events will run concurrently during Youth Month.

“We are glad to bring these games to the people in the Vhembe District and we are therefore calling on teams to register, so that they can participate,” said Mamu Community Development's general secretary, Mr Jafter Mamugudubi. “Registration is R500 per team.”

Mamugudubi stated that the prizes are R8 000 each for the champions in both the CS Security Top 8 Soccer Tournament and the Collins Sebola Inc Top 8 Soccer Tournament. Teams number 2, 3 and 4 will also get R800 each.

“There will be prizes galore,” he said. “All four finalists will play with brand new soccer kits, which they will also keep for their own future use.”

Collins Sebola Group's managing director, Mr Collins Sebola, said that it warmed his heart when he was invited to contribute towards the uplifting of the communities through sports. “We are the grand sponsors of this project, because we always have it in our hearts to plough back into the communities,” Sebola said.

For more information about the tournaments, Mamu Community Development's general secretary, Mr Jafter Mamugudubi, can be contacted at 082 536 6309 or [email protected].
