New head coach for TTM

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) lost two home matches in a row and that was a point of concern to both the management and the supporters for the team.  They were booted out of the Nedbank Cup KO 3-4 by Uthongathi FC.

As if that was not good enough to worry the management of the team, TTM lost 0-2 to Free State Stars in their GladAfrica League match at the same venue two weeks ago.

All fingers pointed at the team’s caretaker coach, Lucky “Mchichwa” Nelukau. Nelukau was demoted to the team’s assistant coach four days after the team’s 0-2 defeat to Free State Stars. This after the president of the club, Mr Masala Mulaudzi, announced the appointment of Mr Vladislav Heric as the team’s new head coach last Thursday.

Born in Serbia on 29 August 1966, Heric knows South African football like the palm of his hand. He has been coaching South African teams for 12 years. The first South African club to appoint him as the team’s coach was Maritzburg United way back in 2007.

He migrated from one club to the other, including Bay United, Polokwane City, Chippa United, Royal Eagles, FC Cape Town, Cape Town All Stars, Free State Stars and Ubuntu Cape Town between 2010 and October this year when he parted ways with Free State Stars. Black Leopards were under Heric’s guidance when they gained promotion to the Absa Premiership Division in 2011.

Asked about his mandate at TTM, the 53-year-old mentor said that his only mandate was to promote TTM to the Absa Premiership Division this year. He further indicated that his contract with Vhadau Vha Damani will expire at the end of the current season, although there is provision for extension if the club gained promotion at the end of the season. He was on the team’s technical bench for the first time in their league game against TS Galaxy at the Kameelrivier Stadium in Siyabuswa on Monday.
