Vhadau Vha Damani back in GladAfrica League

After disappearing from football circles about eight months ago, Mr Masala Mulaudzi has jumped onto the football bandwagon again. Mr Mulaudzi sent shockwaves through the country when he went public last Saturday, saying he had bought the GladAfrica Championship League franchise from Royal AM Football Club.

This after the former president of Royal AM FC, Ms Shaun Mkhize, bought the DStv status from Bloemfontein Celtic last week. During a media conference held at the Premier Soccer League offices on Tuesday afternoon, the chairman of the PSL, Dr Irvin Khoza, confirmed the sale of Bloemfontein Celtic to Ms Mkhize and the sale of Royal AM to Mr Masala Mulaudzi.

Not only did the league ratify the sale agreements for the clubs, but the name change as well. Dr Khoza further confirmed that Bloemfontein Celtic will change their name to Royal AM while Royal AM will change their name to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC (TTM).

In July last year, Mr Masala Mulaudzi bought the DStv Premiership franchise from Bidvest Wits FC. He then did the unexpected and sold TTM’s DStv Premiership franchise to Dr Abraham Sello in January this year. Dr Sello later renamed the club to Marumo Gallants FC.

Asked for more information regarding the sale agreement, Mr Mulaudzi said that he would make an announcement on Wednesday evening. Mr Mulaudzi was still to make an announcement at the time of our going to print. Mulaudzi reiterated the fact, however, that they were not in the league to add to the numbers. According to him, he had assembled a squad that was ready to absorb any amount of heat. TTM will commence their league programme by hosting Cape Town All Stars at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday.
