The opening matches of the Berea Madzonga Soccer Challenge were played at two different venues over the past weekend. The tournament is contested by 48 teams from around the Vhembe District. The last-24-round matches will be played this weekend. Four matches will be played at the Anel Real Vikings Grounds on Saturday, and the same number of matches will be seen at the Berea Grounds.
The four matches that will be played at the Berea Grounds are Muraluwe FC vs Tshipise Junior Cosmos, Mapakoni FC vs Lukau FC, Mavuma FC vs Lukau Hot Aces and Matangari Rising Stars vs Berea FC. The following matches will be played at the Anel Real Vikings Grounds: Madimbo Royal Eagles vs Tshimuthe FC, Lwathudwa FC vs Anel Real Vikings, Mabvete Peace Makers vs Tshandama Try Together and Malale D Boys vs Mukula Avalon.
The last batch of the last-24-round matches will be played at the Berea Grounds on Sunday. The fixtures are Madimbo FC vs Sambandou United Professionals, Madridtas FC vs Domboni Sunshine, Folovhodwe Stone Breakers vs Mulodi Freedom Birds and Thengwe Flying Peace vs Tshilavulu Elite.
The toss for the last 12 round will be conducted at the grounds shortly after the final game on Sunday. The semi-final and final matches are scheduled to take place at the Berea Grounds on Monday, 25 September.
