Last Saturday was a memorable day for one of the Vhembe-based Safa Second Division League sides, Rospa United FC. They were brutally walloped 0-5 by the sky-rocketing Magezi FC at the TT Cholo Stadium in Polokwane.

The defeat was the second for Rospa United in a row after they had suffered a 1-2 defeat at the hands of The Dolphins last Wednesday afternoon.

Joe's Express managed to absorb the pressure from Modimolle Aces and shared the spoils 1-1 in Modimolle. Dzivhuluwani Simba scored for Joe's Express, while Aces equalized via Eric Maake late in the game.

Phungo All Stars proved their critics wrong when registered their third victory by beating Lephalale Young Killers 3-2 at the Mogol Stadium in Lephalale. Phungo All Stars are still lying in the second-last position of the log, despite collecting the maximum points against Young Killers.

The presence of their newly appointed head coach, Mr Patrick Mabasa, on the team's technical bench did not stop Basel FC from losing 1-3 to Giyani Hotspurs at the Giyani Stadium on Saturday evening. Basel are languishing at the bottom of the log, following a string of unimpressive results. The Dolphins were unexpectedly beaten 1-0 by Dynamos at the Burgersdorp Artificial Turf Stadium.

Winners Park played to a 2-2 draw with Mosesetjane All Stars at the Mahwelereng Stadium and Great North FC shocked the logleaders, Blue Rocks, 2-1.

Mighty FC blasted Ray Pillars 6-2 at the Seshego Stadium.
