In the Phalaphala FM soapie Ndi Yone Mini Yeneyi, actor Ndivhuho Paullet Tshishonga plays the role of a cheating woman who is romantically involved with both an uncle and his niece. However, in real life, the 41-year-old actor—better known as Arehone in the soapie—is a well-mannered, faithful, and humble professional.
The popular actor from Vleifontein is a big dreamer, working hard to achieve her goal of appearing on television screens. So far, she has collaborated with several production houses, which she believes have laid a solid foundation for her long-cherished dream.
Her love for the creative arts began during her school years. "I grew up reading Tshivenda and English books, especially drama books. Over time, my passion grew, and I fell in love with acting, setting me on the path to achieving my dream. After matriculating, I went on to study stage drama at the Pretoria State Theatre. I was introduced to several productions before venturing into radio. I also had a stint with Ladymash Production in Polokwane," she said.
Between 2011 and 2018, she doubled as a newsreader for Makhado FM before moving to Phalaphala FM in 2019, where she became one of the soapie's prominent characters. "One step at a time, I am climbing the ladder of success," she said.
Arehone shared that she would be overjoyed to see herself on television one day. "Right now, I am busy with rehearsals for a stage play, Mulugisi Art Project, which will premiere at Thohoyandou Town Hall on 15 March. This is one of the highlights of my career, and my wish is for it to be turned into a movie," she said.
She also reminded fans that her Ndi Yone Mini Yeneyi character does not reflect who she is in real life. "It's just a role. In real life, I am a very honest person who could never cheat," she said.
