Last weekend was a sorrowful one for the ABC Motsepe League teams based in Giyani, Giyani Hotspurs, Bilika All Stars and Gawula Classic. They all donated points to their opponents in front of their home crowd.

Giyani Hotspurs were the hardest hit. They could not stop Lephalale Young Killers from scoring six goals. The best they could do was to respond with a single goal. The defeat pushed Hotspurs down to the fourth position from the bottom of the log.

Gawula Classic lost 1-3 to Nkowankowa Barcelona. Although they too could not collect maximum points, Bilika All Stars are better off as they managed to grab a point in their match against Polokwane United. They played to a goalless draw.

The Dolphins FC continued to enhance their chances of winning the league title, come the end of the season, when they crushed A1 Terrors 4-1 at the Eldorado Park Stadium in Polokwane.

The Dolphins are now lying in the third spot with 34 points, six behind the logleaders, Magezi FC, following the results. On the other hand, things are moving from bad to worse in the Terrors' camp. They are fighting for survival in the second-last position.

Bellevue Winners Park scored four goals and conceded two against Mosesetjane All Stars at the Mahwelereng Stadium in Mokopane. Bellevue Winners Park stand an outside chance of winning the league championship. They are lying in the third spot with 30 points, 10 behind Magezi FC.

The only goal they scored against Great North FC was good enough to earn Magezi FC three significant points. Joe Maweja collected full points by beating Polokwane Academy 3-1 at the Tshifulanani Stadium.
