The struggling Ablex United held the current log leaders of the ABC Motsepe Limpopo league, The Dolphins, to a 2-all draw at the Louis Trichardt show grounds on Saturday.

Dolphins had an opportunity for a goal in the opening minutes, but Stanley Kekana shot into the hands of the opponents“ keeper, Elikana Nemakanga. Ablex's misfortune continued and in the 20th minute. Balac Mathatha shot over the bar with only the keeper to beat. Pfano Nepfumbada of Ablex was yellow-carded for a rough tackle a few minutes later.

In the 22nd minute, Rito Chuma of Dolphins' well-timed shot missed the poles by a mere inch. Mpho Mavhandu of Albex dribbled past several defenders and scored in the 25th minute.

Dolphins equalised through Bonginkosi Hlophe after he received a square pass from Peter Aphane in the 27th minute. Joshua Ntimane, the keeper of Dolphins, then saved a sure goal from the boot of Matome Seroba.

Ablex increased the score line when Erasmus Baloyi finished off a header from Unarine Ralukake.The score was still 2-1 in favour of Ablex at the break.

The second half was war from the onset. Dolphins started the half at a very fast pace, giving their opponents no moment to breathe. Ablex should have scored in the 60th minute, but their striker, Mpho Mavhandu, hesitated for too long and the defender of the opposition sent the ball out.

Dolphins equalised when Francos Baloyi beat three defenders in a row and scored easily. Dolphins should have scored in 78th minute, but Thembani Chauke“s shot hit the cross bar and bounced back into the field of play after he had received a pre-cooked pass from Bonginkosi "JD" Hlophe.
