Another busy weekend awaits the teams affiliated with the Limpopo stream of the Sasol Women's League. Five matches will be played on Saturday, with the remaining three scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
The match expected to draw the most attention is the "battle of the stars" between Tshandama Young Stars and Lacoste Morning Stars at the Shayandima Secondary School Grounds on Saturday.
Young Stars are still searching for their first league point of the season. They lost 0-1 to Masakona Liberty Experience at the Masakona Grounds in their opening fixture two weeks ago. The team from Tshandama did not play last weekend.
Beating Lacoste Morning Stars will be a mammoth task for Young Stars, judging by Lacoste's performance against Univen Ladies last Saturday. Although that match ended in a 1-1 draw, Lacoste could easily have taken all three points. Forwards Oda Mbedzi and Mulalo Mufanadzo pose a significant threat and could cause havoc for the Young Stars' defence if not effectively contained.
Univen Ladies will host Sinthumulekutama FC at the Univen Stadium. It will be Univen's second home fixture in a row, after they hosted Lacoste Morning Stars at the same venue last weekend.
Rodadau FC will travel to the Nwamitwa Grounds outside Tzaneen, where they will face Sisters FC. Rodadau were unexpectedly held to a 2-2 draw by Real Mighty Ladies at the Tshitungulwane Grounds last Saturday.
Masakona Liberty Experience will welcome Real Mighty Ladies at the Masakona Grounds, while Farm Girls Ladies and Ramatlaohle Ladies will test each other's strength at the Machaina Sports Grounds in Moletjie.
Sunday's fixtures: Dinaledi Ladies vs Golden Diamonds; Maindis Ladies vs University of Limpopo; Kanatla Ladies vs Marumo Gallants Development.
