A new name in fuel stations is slowly making inroads in the country, and this one has a distinct local flavour. When the Alliance Fuel filling station opened in Rissik Street in Louis Trichardt last week, it marked the third of its kind for the company that was started in 2016.
When Alliance Fuel opened its first depot eight years ago, the company focused on the wholesale distribution of diesel and petrol products. The company was managed by long-time local residents Loffie and Sandra Grobler, with their daughter Alet and her husband Martin Oosthuyse. This close-knit team brings a personal touch to every aspect of the business, ensuring that each customer feels like part of the family.
In 2023, Alliance Fuel expanded into the retail fuel market, opening its first filling station in Limpopo under the Alliance Fuel brand. The filling station in Louis Trichardt was followed by one in Modimolle, and last week the second one in Louis Trichardt was officially opened.
"These stations are not just places to refuel; they represent our dedication to community and quality service," says Jason van Huyssteen, marketing manager at Alliance Fuel.
The company is especially enthusiastic about the state-of-the-art filling station in Rissik Street. This is the last filling station on the road leading to Vivo, and apart from the area adjacent to Rissik Street, is conveniently close to Tshikota.
"We're one of the nearest stations to Tshikota, and we hope to attract taxis operating between Tshikota and the Greater Makhado area," says Van Huyssteen.
