An outing to tavern almost ends tragic

A woman who desperately needed fun but could not find it anywhere in her village got more than she bargained for when she nearly ended up being raped.

A woman who desperately needed fun but could not find it anywhere in her village got more than she bargained for when she nearly ended up being raped.

The woman from Ha Mangilasi outside Vuwani in Limpopo travelled more than 40 kilometers from her home to Thohoyandou for some drinks. She went to the tavern in town with the greatest vibe...

She had already had plenty of fun at the tavern where she was chilling with friends, but unbeknown to her, three guys with evil intentions were watching all her moves.

The woman went out to relieve herself when the men made their move and followed her outside.

They grabbed her and one pinned her to the ground, whilst the other two started to undress her. They had already removed her bra and were struggling to remove her panties. The woman, however, screamed at the top of her voice and the screams attracted other boozers.

Sensing danger, the three men ran away, but not before assaulting and stabbing her. The woman was left sprawled on the tarmac next to the door of the tavern. Friends consoled her and wiped the blood that was flowing from her body.

She went back inside the tavern and continued boozing, with friends buying her more drinks. A mini party was then held to celebrate her surviving the brutal attack. The brazen thugs came back and instilled more fear in the revelers. Somebody then tried calling police and the thugs left.

The boozing continued as if nothing had happened...

Limpopo police spokesperson in Vhembe Captain Mashudu Malelo said they had no record of the incident.
