Another action-packed weekend waits in the ABC Motsepe League

The Limpopo ABC Motsepe League promises an exciting weekend, highlighted by Mpheni Defenders defending their perfect record against Baduzah Celtics. Other key matches include TTM seeking redemption and a Phalaborwa derby, ensuring intense competition across the league.

Teams affiliated with the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League are gearing up for another action-packed weekend. One match will be played on Friday afternoon, with the rest of the fixtures scheduled for Saturday.

Mpheni Defenders are bracing for a tough encounter when they host Baduzah Celtics at the Mpheni Grounds. Both teams are in high spirits after collecting maximum points in their last matches. Baduzah Celtics impressed last weekend, thrashing Nkowankowa Continentals 5-0 at the Lulekani Stadium outside Phalaborwa.

Celtics will need to double their efforts to overcome Mpheni Defenders, who have yet to drop points this season. The team sits atop the log with 21 points from seven matches. Known as “Up The Bulls,” Mpheni Defenders consolidated their lead by defeating fellow title chasers Mukondeni Young Chiefs 1-0 at the Makhado Show Grounds last Saturday.

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) face another challenge on Saturday when they travel to Tzaneen to play Tzaneen United at the Nkowankowa Stadium. TTM must win to restore pride after a 5-0 defeat to Seloane White Vultures at Thohoyandou Stadium last weekend.

Other fixtures include Vondwe XI Bullets hosting The Dolphins FC at the Makonde Stadium, Musina United facing Mukondeni Young Chiefs at the Musina Rugby Stadium, and the Phalaborwa derby between White Vultures and Phalaborwa United at the Seloane Grounds. Additional matches are Lebash Football Academy vs Nkowankowa Celtics and Royal Pirates vs Mighty FC.
