Things are fast moving from bad to worse in the camp of Black Leopards FC. After losing 0-1 to Highlands Park at the Thohoyandou Stadium two weeks ago, Lidoda Duvha gave away more league points last weekend.
They lost 1-2 to Jomo Cosmos at the Vosloorus Stadium on Sunday.
The Thohoyandou outfit were the first to blow the trumpet through Xolani Ndlovu. He gave the ball a final touch, following a good build-up with Mwape Musonda.
Cosmos' goals came within the last 18 minutes of the game. Onassis Mnthambo and Sicelo Mkhize scored the Cosmos goals in the 72nd and 89th minute respectively.
Highlands Park consolidated their position at the top of the log after whipping the second-placed, Stellenbosch FC 3-0 at the Makhulong Stadium in Thembisa. Park scored their opening goal in the 27th minute via Mothobi Mvala.
Lindokuhle Mbatha was on target in the 47th minute and Mbathacompleted his brace six minutes before the final whistle.
Pretoria University kept their title hopes alive by beating Uthongathi FC 1-0 at the Absa Tuks Stadium in Pretoria.
Cape Town All Stars could not absorb the pressure from Real Kings and lost 0-1 at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town. Siphesihle Nzimande scored the all-important goal in the 36th minute with a header.
Mthatha Bucks and Super Eagles shared the spoils, following their 1-1 draw at the Mthatha Stadium. Sakhele Nhlabathi scored for Bucks in the 47th minute. The visitors from Bethlehem in the Free State retaliated in the 84th minute through Ricardo Versuur.
Witbank Spurs and Royal Eagles played to a 1-1 draw at the Puma Rugby Stadium in eMalahleni.
Mpambaniso Monde scored the only goal when Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila beat Ubuntu Cape Town 1-0 at the Thohoyandou Stadium. (See a full match report on the back page of this edition).
