In their Cape Town derby at the Grassy Park Stadium in Cape Town, Milano United proved all the critics wrong by crushing Santos 3-0. Bongile Booi scored a brace in the game. His first strike was in the 19th minute after he received a neat pass from David Maronde. Booi completed his brace five minutes later, when he connected Freddy Mthombeni's square pass. A fierce shot from Thurlow Wood in the 69th minute ensured the home side snatched three points and three goals.
In the other Cape Town derby at the Athlone Stadium, FC Cape Town shared the spoils with Stellenbosch FC after a 2-2 draw.
Mthatha Bucks played to a 1-1 draw with Royal Eagles at the Mthatha Stadium. Sedwin George scored for the home side in the 12th minute. The visitors from Durban responded via Raymond Monama seven minutes before the final whistle.
