Black Leopards continued to narrow their chances of gaining promotion to the elite league at the end of the season by donating league points to Witbank Spurs.They lost 1-2 in their NFD League match at the Puma Rugby Stadium in eMalahleni on Saturday.
Leopards took the lead before the half-time break after a goal from Themba Mabuyango in the 24th minute. The hosts, however, levelled matters in the 54th minute through Bongane Mathabela, with Joshua Souls snatching the winner 20 minutes before the final whistle.
Milano United managed to collect full points when they beat Royal Eagles 1-0 at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban. Brendon Theron scored the only goal of the game.
Moroka Swallows failed to impress their home crowd again. This time they drew 1-1 with African Warriors at the Dobsonville Stadium. Warriors found the net through Thamsanga Ngema in the 34th minute. The equaliser came when Warriors' left back, Gift Sithole, succumbed to pressure and scored an own goal.
FC Cape Town went back to Cape Town from Richards |Bay with empty hands. They lost 1-3 to Thanda Royal Zulu at the Umhlathuze Sports Complex. The Cape Town side took the lead via Maboke Matlakala in the 12th minute. Royal Zulu scored three beautiful goals via Siduduzo Dlamini, Sibongiseni Zuma and Sakhile Kubheka later in the last half.
Vasco da Gama ended a recent run of poor form with a hard-fought 2-1 victory Highlands Park at the Parow Park Stadium. Highlands Park scored first via Matome Mabeba, before the home side fought back through Mbulelo Wambi and Chaz Williams.
Baroka consolidated their lead on the log by beating Cape Town All Stars 3-2 at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane while Santos drew 2-2 with Amazulu at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.
