Another busy weekend awaits the teams affiliated with the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League. Four matches will be played at different venues across the province on Friday afternoon, with the remaining eight scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
United Artists must beat Maruleng Celtic at Makhuvha Stadium on Saturday to keep their title hopes alive. United Artists are among the title contenders in Stream A. The Lufule-based side proved their critics wrong last Saturday when they held Munaca FC to a goalless draw at the Makhado Show Grounds.
Artists head coach Thikhedzo Mashau said his team must secure victory against Celtic on Saturday if they are serious about lifting the trophy at the end of the season. Containing Artists' strikers such as Maanda Makhado, and Tshepo Malatjie will be no easy task for the Celtic defenders.
Vondwe XI Bullets are gearing up for a tough encounter against Black Leopards at Makonde Stadium on Saturday. Bullets have yet to drop a point under their new head coach, Tshikani Nkondo, who took over from the vastly experienced Owen Da Gama early last month. Bullets currently lead the standings with 25 points.
Another title contender, White Vultures, will host Winners Park at Lulekani Stadium in Phalaborwa. Nkowankowa Continentals will face Musina United at Nkowankowa Stadium outside Tzaneen, while Tlhotlhokwe Golden Syrup will take on Munaca FC at the Sealene Grounds outside Phalaborwa.
