The Makwarela Stadium will be the centre of attraction tomorrow afternoon. That is where the much-talked about Safa second division league match between the Vhembe District-based sides, Basel FC and Rospa United, will be staged.
Should they fail to collect the maximum points in the match, Basel's title hopes will be shattered. They are currently lying in the third position on the log. Anything less than victory will do Basel more harm than good as they are still mourning their 0-3 away defeat last weekend at the hands of Giyani Hotspurs.
On the other hand, Rospa United are sharpened to kill after collecting the full points at the expense of Modimolle Aces, whom they beat 2-1 at the Univen Stadium last Saturday. Rospa United are on the safe side in as far as relegation is concerned. The Basel strikers, Walter Ramulondi and Velile Mdaka, will not find it easy against the Rospa defence, which is marshaled by Terrance Maluleke and James Maila.
In the other matches in the same league that will also be played tomorrow afternoon, Baobab Zero Fake will take on Giyani Hotspurs at the Nkowankowa Stadium in Tzaneen. The pace setters, Baroka FC, will try their luck against Modimolle Aces at the Ephraim Mohale Stadium in Modimolle.
The struggling Nobela All Stars will host Lephalale Young Killers at the Lesley Manyathela Stadium in Musina. Things are fast moving from bad to worse in the camp of Nobela. They have been donating points at home and away in the past weeks.
Phungo All Stars will play against Ray Pillars at the Makhado Eltivillas ground. The Dolphins will entertain Mosesetjane All Stars at the Seshego Stadium, while Winners Park will meet Blue Rocks at the Mahwelereng Stadium in Mokopane on Sunday afternoon.
